We used lines to create organic shapes that we painted with colored pebbles.

1st Grade - Organic Shape Texture Rubbings

Texture is all around us- it is the way something feels.  It’s very important to know how something feels before we touch it. 

We drew 4-5 different kinds of lines that connect to make shapes and used texture-rubbing plates to create the illusion of texture.  Every time we crossed a line, we changed the color and the texture.
